THE BIBLE HELPS US MAKE DECISIONS

memory verse for this unit

“Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right” (Psalm 106:3, NIV*).

objectives of this unit

This unit will help the children:• Learn to make wise decisions.

the reason we teach this unit

The children will learn that God wants to help them to be kind.

They will know that wrong decisions have painful consequences. They will know that when they do God’s will, the Lord blesses them.

They will understand the importance of doing the right thing for God. They will learn that God supports them when they decide to act justly.

Preschoolers begin to understand more about God through the Bible stories and the testimony of church members. Through these five Bible lessons, they will understand that God wants them to make right decisions, and he is willing to help them at all times. Pray for their early development of Christlike character, attitudes and habits.

They will study the good decisions made by Bible characters such as Isaac, Jonah, Daniel and Esther. Through those examples, they will understand that God also wants to guide them when they face tough decisions. These lessons are an important foundation to build up values in children. In a world full of sin and contradictions, preschoolers need to know that God wants his children to be wise and decide to walk in holiness - and thereby be blessed.
