objectives of this unit

This unit will help the children:• Understand that the Jews did not understand what kind of King Jesus was and the reason for his coming• Rejoice in knowing that Christ is our risen king• Understand the blessings of the new covenant of grace, love, and forgiveness accomplished through Christ’s death, and that they can be a part of it (conversion)• Know that Jesus is our King and the Son of God• Accept Jesus as the King of their lives• Know that they can joyfully wait for the return of Christ.

the reason we teach this unit

In this unit we learn about Jesus as our living King. Our children see he is a different King. He is risen and forgiving. He is King of kings, and one day he will return.
