objectives of this unit

This unit will help the children:• Know the signs and messages that God showed his people throughout history, with the purpose of making known the coming of the Savior• Comprehend how God prepared his people to receive the promised Messiah• Comprehend the significance that Jesus became a human like us to save us, and invite them to thank Jesus for having come to Earth; and something very important, to help them to accept Jesus as their Savior• Recognize the mercy of God in revealing his love to us through Jesus, our Messiah• Give everything they have to God.

the reason we teach this unit

Through the lessons of this unit, our children will learn that God fulfilled his promise of sending a Savior for humanity in Jesus Christ. Christmastime is a special time of year to demonstrate the love we profess as Christians to people that we know from church and also to those who do not know Jesus yet. The Holy Spirit wants to change these children’s lives!
