• Understand that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead• Understand that Jesus has the power to heal• Learn that Peter believed Jesus is the Son of God• Express their love and praise to Jesus, the son of God• Celebrate Easter and reinforce their knowledge of Jesus, the son of God.

the reason we teach this unit

Easter is a special time of the year, but your children come from various family backgrounds and will celebrate it in different ways. Sometimes they do not realize that it is the time we celebrate God sending his Son into the world to save us from our sins.

Through the lessons in this unit they will learn that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. He has the power to save us.
