the reason we teach this unit

Your children experience many things beyond their control. However, they may not be accustomed to praying with much faith. Perhaps it is rare that they express their true and profound needs to God. Through prayer, we can express to God our wants and needs. It is also important that they know that through prayer they can recognize what the Lord’s will and direction for them is. It is good for them to begin to understand that prayer has the power to change us.
